Life & Times
-
Family
Pictures and documents to reference people who make life what it is. Good and bad, if we are to be fair. A few of them are pretty controversial so be warned! Includes Kelli from 2002 onward. -
Kansas Street
More than just a bedroom and office space, our house on Kansas Street in North Park was a hub of community life for us and was also a second de facto office for Jubilee Economics Ministries. -
Friends
Mostly featuring people who add spice to life, and sometimes spoil the broth, and maybe those who make it a bit more than that. Pictures and documents. Includes Kelli prior to 2002. -
Skool Daze
Mostly a chronicle of things from my academic career up till 1991ish, from somber to stellar. Generously captioned to help you see what life was like then. -
Tying the Knot
A photo journal of August 28, 2004 when I signed the long term plan with Kelli Parrish. Photos by Tony Bouttell, Ashley Gilmore, and a zillion people with digital cameras and/or the disposable things!
Audio of the entire ceremony is available at The Recording Archive.

Kelli's New Car
Kelli usually has driven cars past their prime, and a few to their grave. It was big stuff when she got a late model car and launched into the reality that many people take for granted. -
Kelli's Ordination
After six years from the time she was accepted to seminary, and after endless classes and discernment there, and a pastoral internship and hospital residency, and even more waiting, Kelli's big day finally came. -
Kelli's Graduation
The pinnacle of Kelli's long hard slog through 3.5 years of seminary paid off finally in May 2009. -
Buber the Dog
He's black and white. He fusses. He wags his tail. He has a Facebook page. He is gentle and sweet. He's Buber the Dog. Photos by Kelli and me. -
When Two Wheels Ruled the World
The most efficient human powered transportation out there. A record of the bikes I have (or had, if I ever get to those pictures), and some other bits, including Critical Mass rides. -
Afternoon in America
A sometimes amusing, sometimes neurotic, sometimes sad photo journal of Afternoon in America by signs, murals, and other clues pointing to America moving past its peak of historical greatness. -
Untied We Stand
A collection of original political and socially minded poster-style images, initially from just before the 2004 election, but with others added in along the way. -
Gardening
A photo journal of a couple seasons of gardening in 2006-2007 primarily. Photos by yours truly. -
Photoshop
Photoshop is my favorite program in the visual realm. It was the first one that I fell in love with in the early days and the basis for a lot of experimentation. This gallery is more of a boneyard of dabblings and half completed thoughts. -
Road Rage
The great American Road (and the greater Parking Lot) is the repository for all manner of displays of self indulgence, incompetence, idiocy, hypocrisy, and weirdness. From my life as a delivery driver, I bring you... -
Cocks
Get your mind out of the banana hammock! A visual essay on the presence of chicken themed paraphernalia in suburban homes. Photos by yours truly. -
Con-Fusion
It seems a hot buzzword in recent times. Everything has to be called "fusion." Some things make sense, but here are a few others that seem a bit silly. -
Big Brother
Okay, maybe Big Brother is a stretch, but didja ever stop to look for the cameras that lurk? I did. -
Fridge Poetry
Okay, it's not Homer, Shakespeare, Whitman, or Ginsberg. So sue us. Some are more recognizably male in their concerns. By Kelli and me. -
Liberation
Oy, the first decade of the millennium was an ordeal. Here is the end of at least a couple of the unsavory things. -
Errant Nonsense
Here is where you can find everything else, including an archive of the random stuff that gets commented on in the blog.
